About Attorney

Sabine Browne, Esq.

Sabine Browne developed her interest for the law while working with unemployment insurance claimants in New York, where she discovered her calling for advocating for the interests of others. This was the impetus to her distinguished legal career and the founding of Browne Family Law, LLC. The firm focuses on family law and estate planning matters.

In addition to practicing law, Sabine has taught at colleges and universities in the metro-Washington, D.C. area. She is currently the Adjunct Professor and Supervising Attorney at Howard University School of Law’s Child Welfare/Family Justice Clinic. In this capacity, Sabine lectures and supervises law students who represent clients in abuse and neglect matters before the D.C. Superior Court. She was also an Adjunct Professor at Parks College, teaching Paralegal Studies.

Prior to private practice, Sabine dedicated her legal career to public service. She served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Office of the Attorney General of Washington, D.C. (formerly the Office of the Corporation Counsel). While there, she prosecuted child neglect and abuse matters before the D.C. Superior Court. Sabine also served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, where she appeared before the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Court of Appeals of New York, and U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. At the District Attorney’s office, Sabine served in the Appeals Bureau and the Public Integrity Bureau.

Sabine received her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University, School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from Pace University. She was born and raised in Long Island, New York. When not advocating for the interests of her clients or teaching her students, Sabine is passionate about philanthropy. She is a member of the National Charity League, Inc., and participates in ongoing service projects in support of her community. Sabine is a wife and mother and enjoys family gatherings, exercising and traveling.
